IS 3D gaming the Future for video games? 3D TV ps3 vs. 3DS

Both a title and a question, is 3D the next step for the human kind of video games! To explain more i got facts and other thoughts on what i think, We have nintendo 3DS which seems like a dsi 2.0 upgrade but with more. While sony is pushing it heavy 
with their 3D tv’s. Surely the future is now but is it necessary? I mean not long ago, i got the sony Bravia LCD HD 46inch and now there’s a new Type of tv And with nintedos 3DS, while i haven’t used it yet and looks more like a simulation than actual 3D With such huge success, with 3D movies like Avatar, are these companys just trying to cash in money? While 3D is cool it just feels to early to be bringing such hype. Now I know that i won’t be getting both once released but wait 3 years or so until it feels right or if i lived 2012 XD. The 3DS could fail and so can the ps3 3D gaming unsure how, than watch the video and find out!!! Well comment below on what you think about 3D gaming and 3D realated stuff.
