Encrypt passwords saved in Firefox
Saturday, 15. August 2009

Did you know that if you use Firefox to store your passwords etc its stored in just a text file (base64) that can be downloaded off your pc if it is infected or gets compromised.
To get around this set a master password on Firefox. This will set a master password to all passwords stored and encrypt to 3DES making it almost impossible to get without master password.
To do it just goto TOOLS> OPTIONS> SECURITY and hit SET MASTER PASSWORD
DONT FORGET IT!
You now have secured your passwords from prying eyes!
